When I Needed Them the Most

Hi Demian,
Thank you for the work you do.
Over the course of 2 years three key relationships with women in my life have been destroyed because they behaved in a way that I would have thought impossible at one time. It began with a colleague.
She and I worked together for a number of years, […]

(This is a recent comment that the author gave me permission to move here as a separate post under her user name. I think it covers some very interesting points and would like to continue the dialog here as a post in its own right, rather than under a post published months ago. Demian~DreamSinger)

RA in Nursing - Crabs in a Pot

Backstabber

This is a song I wrote from my personal experience with relational aggression.

The double dragon is an appropriate symbol for the topic of relational aggression and female power - two heads coming out of one body.

For in truth, the dragons exist one within the other, as both aggression and empowerment exist within each person.

Relational aggression isn't so much about a specific person, a "bitch" we love to hate, as much as a state of mind; a set of choices we all can make.

Certainly, aggressors and targets are specific roles that people do play, but the point here is that the possibility for their manifestation exists in every person.

On this healing journey, it is important to remember that the reality of an aggressor is only a choice away for each one of us.

Be willing then, to see yourself, if only in potential, in both roles - aggressor and target. Doing so will give you the blessing of insight and understanding, and with that, true empowerment.

Demian,
