All all girls like this, or even most girls, as in mean, catty, backstabbing, petty, etc?

Um…no. And neither are women.

Here’s a wonderful place to peruse, in case, you need some evidence that we’re not all “mean girls” or “desperate housewives”.

National Women’s Hall of Fame

And these women inducted into this Hall of Fame are not the exception to the rule, by the way. They are the tip of the iceberg, not the stellar few.

They are the ones who didn’t buy the lie that women and girls are too this or too that to accomplish their dreams or live lives of integrity, passion and commitment. They are not only foremothers but our sisters and…Oh, wow…do you know that my spell check didn’t even recognize “foremothers”, but knew what “forefathers” were?

What does that tell you?

Well, we have them, whether our language recognizes them or not.

These women, both from the past and living still, are our standards. They remind us of what we are and what we can be. And that’s something to be proud of and to aspire to.
