Self esteem is a big issue in relational aggression. The more secure a girl or woman is, the less likely they will be to resort to relational aggression as a way to deal with conflict or express negative emotions.
But things are stacked against girls developing a sense of esteem about who they are, and the assaults start early. Watch this video. It made my blood turn cold.
