DreamSinger Performance: Central PA Women’s Music Festival, 8/25/07

Hey! I just want to let everyone know I’ll be performing at my first women’s festival and I can’t wait! This will be my opportunity to address different aspects of being a woman/girl and perform such songs as “Backstabber” and “Song of Hope”. The other week I wrote my first song in a really long time, “No Apologies”, which I wrote, unapologetically, from the perspective of an older woman.

I’m really excited to be able to talk about women’s empowerment and address relational aggression in this creative way. I start at 1:00 with my songwriting partner, Stacey, as DreamSinger. We will lead a drumming circle for about 15 minutes and then go into our set or another 30 minutes or so. I hope those of you in this area will be able to come to the festival, and if you are there, please come up to me and say hello! I’ve talked to a number of you through email, and I would be delighted to meet you in person.
