A dear friend of mine called last night. She sold her house, virtually, on the eve of moving out, her basement flooded. No fault of her’s, a neighbor’s pipe had broken. That kind of happened to me tonight.
At midnight PST, my press release was scheduled to go out. I had labored on it for days…actually weeks, and was pleased to finally let it go. But then today, I found myself struggling with support concerning coding in an rss feed, unable to resolve it. And then it was brought to my attention that the download link to my book, “Where There’s Smoke” was not working properly. Again, not able to resolve the issue tonight. So moments before it was 12:00 midnight here, I moved my press release back, yet again.
Now, I’m going through my websites, removing my download links and feeling really bad for those of you who attempted to purchase the book. I emailed each one of you though, and created a special page so you can go there and download directly from me.
These things happen you know. And good things can arise from them, although right now, sitting here exhausted and not just a wee bit frustrated, I can’t name a whole lot. Oh, and did I say my daughter got sick to her stomach in the midst of all this today, and my car wouldn’t start when I needed to go out and get her some popsicles so she could get some hydration?
But gallant neighbor helped me, and I think I got, at least a few things straightened out, and I think I’ll make a cup of hot tea, dig out some chocolate…and everything will be fine.
