Ann Coulter has been on my radar screen ever since she bullied an airport attendant in my home town last fall, but this week her behavior has left me feeling like an RA bystander. Did she do it to sell books? Attract the press? Vent her own frustrations and envy? Whatever the motive, her negative energy around gender issues makes me wonder who or what wounded her so badly, and how her outlook on life became so damaged.
Compassion for those who suffer seems to be a value everyone can embrace–I feel it for both Ann Coulter and her intended victims. She may have an important message we all need to hear, but the hatred that radiates from her words drowns out everything else.
