Cheryl and I will be participating in the Just For Me weekend in Harrisburg. I will be singing four songs on Friday and two on Saturday. Cheryl will be the keynote speaker.
I’m looking forward to meeting and being with other women. Just recently a group of women friends and I decided to consciously create a group identity, a “club”. We’re having wonderful goofy fun with it, but we’re serious too. I’ve been thinking a lot about community and network of support and friendship. While cliques with their hurtful dynamics may not be a good thing, it would be a shame to deprive ourselves of having that sense of belonging that can occur in healthy group dynamics.
More on this later…gotta pack the PA equipment.
