What an incredible weekend it was. I met so many wonderful people. It was DreamSinger’s first full-length concert, and I was just amazed at the power of Song to heal and move people…more so than what I had experienced before.
I was talking to a woman at my booth about relational aggression and covert bullying, and she asked if the material in books about relational aggression applied to boys, as well. I told her the healing path, the principles and steps to healing, were basically the same for everyone, no matter the type of wounding. I, also, believe the type of bullying boys suffer share many covert elements of relational aggression.
It’s interesting to me that people perceive girls being more “mean” than boys, though. I know I’ve kind of just accepted that before, but I’m thinking, “Is that true?”
I wonder if boy targets of bullying think that. Some of the stories, I’ve heard, are pretty vicious and really stretch the boundaries of cruelty.
I wonder where we come up with these stereotypes? And why.
