First Post…First Blog

Well…it’s my first blog on my own server, anyway. I have another blog , Voices of Healing, on typepad, but because I want to co-author this one with Cheryl, and wanted more flexibility, I took a deep breath and dove in.

I have to thank Jennifer Ledbetter for creating the theme for this blog. Modifying it for our use was a real learning experience, and I’m quite proud that I was able to overcome my initial…fear…in tackling this project.

I think I’ll be experimenting with more themes as time goes by, but I’m just so grateful that other people are willing to share their work with those of us who are less inclined to create this stuff from scratch.

It seems the older I get, the more adventurous I become…I’ve experienced so many “firsts” this year. My first CD, my first published book, and my first grandson!

And this new venture with Cheryl Dellasega is another first. As a singer/songwriter I can’t wait to get into podcasting, and Cheryl and I talked about inviting women and girls to share their stories of relational aggression by authoring them here.

Often, when you are a target of relational aggression or any form of bullying, it’s easy to feel alone, but you’re not. It is the intention of this blog to help us find each other. But this blog isn’t just for targets. It’s for everyone who has ever been touched by relational aggression, in whatever way. Whether you are a witness or the aggressor, herself, there is much we can offer to and learn from each other.

Anyway, I look forward to creating a place of lively discussion and debate here, as well as support and caring.

Blessings

Demian,
